KraneShares Global Carbon Strategy ETF
KRBN - Commodities
KRBN seeks to track the performance of the IHS Markit Global Carbon Index, which measures the performance of global cap-and-trade carbon allowances. The fund is appropriate for investors seeking to protect their portfolio against negative exposure to the price of carbon, or simply gain exposure to the price of carbon. The fund is subject to risk that the price of carbon may decrease, or that cap-and-trade regimes may be discontinued, causing the value of carbon allowances to fall. KRBN may be tax-inefficient, as the gains from the carbon credit investments are distributed as income each year.
KRBN isn’t eligible for Tax-Loss Harvesting, since we can’t find a viable alternate fund.
